The General Hospital in Maigana, Soba LGA, is currently undergoing *extensive reconstruction, remodelling, and equipping* as part of the Kaduna State Government’s initiative to improve healthcare infrastructure.

This initiative is one of nine general hospitals being upgraded by the government, led by Sen. Uba Sani, with three hospitals chosen from each Senatorial Zone to receive these enhancements thus far.

The groundbreaking for the reconstruction of a 21.85km road from Pambegua to Kauru through Kahuta, linking Kubau and Kauru LGAs will provide forward and backward linkages to farms and markets. It will reduce post-harvest losses by farmers, as well as cost of transportation and travel time. It will also provide employment opportunities for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labour during the construction period.

Kaduna Update: Governor @ubasanius is serving as a special guest of honour at the Kaduna State Social Protection Summit. The theme of the summit is "Rethinking Social Protection Systems: Building Integrated Systems for Comprehensiveness and Financial Inclusion." The event is taking place at Umaru Musa Yar'adua Hall, Murtala Square, Kaduna.
