@TMFScottP It’s the level of tax here, but then insane govt related costs on top of it all. New passport is now what, $450? Any decent length drive has a toll road. Childcare is eye watering.

That’s why we’ve just quit Australia and taking our tax dollars with us.

We either massively close shop to newbies because we’re at supply limit, or stay open and use the vast land we’re blessed with.

We seem to do neither today.

@jayzeae @TMFScottP We’re currently the 6th lowest by pop density globally, in between Mongolia and Namibia.

Not saying we become Hong Kong, but a short sighted vision on infrastructure massively limits us to where we are with a small country outlook.

@TMFScottP Hard disagree. Yes the centre and much of WA/NT, but the eastern seaboard should have 3-4 more actual cities. Same in VIC and lower SA.

there’s nothing for miles with no infrastructure so everyone lives in the same small pockets, forcing prices up. Small country mentality.
