@ChuckCook @wholemars @BLKMDL3 What does the drivers age have to do with this? Really. Relative to what they bought the car is near unusable! I now avoid driving my minivan because I know how exposed I am when driving it! Let alone the ease by which FSD miles pass. What a dilema! I feel for them.

@TheGadgetGuru @wholemars I think this is why speed limiting control is not a part of FSD today. They are figuring out how to do it all and shortcuts just won't do.

@WaitWhat The thing is they want to slow it down for you. That is what automony is about. Unfortunately, I fear 'streaks' keep Tesla from getting important feedback from disengaging to slow down. Maybe speed should be a disengagement category? @Tesla_AI @aelluswamy

@SawyerMerritt Absolutely agree! It's not as though driving skill transfers to other meaningful life activities. Calculating change at a register is useful in other facets of life. Your cornering capability, not so much :)

@itskyleconner This matters much more proportionally on a 'slippery' car like the Tesla vs a box like the Rivians. Since the drag is the square and force is the cube of speed, 10% off 0.22 means a cube of the difference of 10% off 0.29 you see how starting at savings factor of ~ 2 vs 3 plays.

In our Juniper we found it would consistently abruptly slow to get in the right lane 2 miles before the turn. Cool. But if traffic there was slow it would pass again and sometimes had to rush right again to exit. Any meatbrain would have stayed left till later. No issue w/camping.
