It is with incredible sadness that I write about the unexpected death of Dr. Desmond Jordan. Dr Jordan died Monday evening. As many of you know, Dr. Jordan was a living legend who challenged us, engaged us, and pushed us to be better.
Even as the pandemic raged in NYC, we were able to safely and effectively treat non-COVID emergencies in COVID-free units.

Did FaceTime right before palliative extubation.
Patient was very sick and his time was expected to be very short after extubation.
I thought we can just clean his face, but his nurse took time to wash and comb hair, to make him even nicer.
Learned the lesson from her.
