THIS IS HOW IT’S DONE. In a breakthrough deal with the Trump admin, UPenn has agreed to:

- include biology-based definitions of sex in their sports policy;
- formally apologize to the female athletes who were forced to compete & share a locker room with a male swimmer;
- restore all records set by those female athletes.

As a result, Penn has chosen to voluntarily resolve its Title IX violations. Female athletes from across the nation—including @ADFLegal clients Selina Soule and Adaleia Cross—were at the White House with @EDSecMcMahon for today’s announcement.

Institutions everywhere should take note: this is a model for righting an injustice. I’m deeply grateful to the Trump administration for keeping its promise to defend women and enforce Title IX.

Let’s hope this is just the first of many schools to restore a proper commitment to equal opportunity for women & girls.
