I am a CBSE Class 12 student.
After receiving unexpectedly low marks in Physics, we applied for photocopies of my answer sheets through the CBSE reevaluation process.
Today we received the copies.
And I am shattered because the Physics answer sheet uploaded by CBSE is not mine
Booked a Rapido. Driver called:
“Bhaiya, extra dena hoga.”
Booked an Uber:
“Bhaiya, fare bahut kam hai.”
Then why did you accept the ride?
Booked an Ola:
Driver confirmed, then cancelled after 5 minutes.
The entire taxi aggregator system in India is a mess. There is not a single app that feels customer-centric. Half the cars are poorly maintained, drivers keep negotiating outside the app, and cancellations are normalised.
Once someone travels to places like Dubai or parts of Southeast Asia, they realise how far behind our basic service standards are.
Will someone please inform the Indian government and its functionaries that these PR campaigns demonstrating how austere they’re being, is just downright embarrassing. I’ve seen at least 4 government ministers being filmed driving along in one or two cars.
All it tells us is how abnormal their behavior has been for all these years because they would have been perfectly fine in one or two cars.
To turn this into “news” is just so narcissistic.
In peak India moment today, I got scolded by an uncle on bike for walking on the footpath during traffic hours. He said and I quote, “pagal hai kya be, footpath koi chalne ki jagah hai?”
Kudos to @AirFranceKLM. They destroyed my wife’s suitcase (stuff happens), so we trudged to the service desk. I was hoping for some duct tape and expected to fill out a form where, maybe, they’d send me twenty bucks in six weeks or so.
Nope! The friendly and efficient clerk apologized for the damage, measured our suitcase, went into the back room, and returned with a brand-new suitcase, the same size, still in the shrink wrap. We swapped the contents right there and rolled out of baggage claim with the new suitcase.
Nicely done. That’s the sort of service I’d expect from Singapore Air, not a European carrier.
(By the way, what happened to @SamsoniteUSA? Apparently they’re no longer gorilla-proof…)
And people have audacity to compare Indian Cricket Stadiums to Lord's and MCG 😭😭
Instead of blindly defending if people don't start speaking against the trauma faced by a stadium going fan in India things will continue to be the same
Stadium capacity does not mean a global level infrastructure.
All the state association, franchise and bcci takes everyone for granted.
How hard is to provide basic facilities by the richest board in the world?
They just don't want to, because ground level people are just happy with the bare minimum they are getting.
BCCI , IPL Franchise DO BETTER!
This duo highlighted in a humorous way those issues of the common people which are still important for the common people today.
No comedian can match this duo.
BMC says "compensatory tree plantation for Mumbai's mega projects will now be outside Mumbai."
I am getting convinced that environmentalists are being proven right in fighting against infrastructure. They have not made it a environment vs infrastructure clash. The State has.
How can you not love @mybmc & the State Govt ?
No space for new trees & the space occupied by old trees has already been reclaimed by cutting down trees.
Such visionary governance.
This is a situation that requires urgent intervention. The city's first metro, the Versova Ghatkopar line is facing this situation every other day, even if today the situation is due to maintenance work. Citizens are right in asking what happened to the proposal of increasing the rakes of this metro?
Today I got to know DLF Cybercity, Gurugram has its own fire station.
It has 90-meter Bronto Skylift that can reach up to 30 floors.
With air & water purifiers, generators, 24/7 security, parks- private societies are now buying everything.
So, why are we paying taxes to govt?
This building is only 13 floors and the fire tender is unable to spray water over the 7th floor. If you stay in a high rise, the biggest risk is that the fire department will not be able to extinguish a fire on higher floors! They just don't have the equipment. Our country prioritises freebies to bribe voters than take care of tax paying citizens. In Gurgaon, DLF has setup their own fire station with imported equipment which can combat fire in their high-rises. Why do we even pay taxes?
