@BrianCostin It’s not about the 8 dates they play regular season football games or the 1-2 playoff games a decade. The issue is the other 350+ dates where they get no revenue from a stadium. Wrigley Field just hosted a sold out Rufus Du Sol concert that probably netted the Ricketts millions.
@brendan_cubs They need to teach Imanaga and Taillon sinkers if they don’t already have them. They are the bash brothers of pitching, but by giving up home runs for the opposition.
@96wvhokie@uscfan981 Puckett didn’t even reach the majors until 1984. Hard to win the “best of the decade” argument when you weren’t there for 40% of the decade.
@TheBrancaShow@MongolianBeast1 The franchise was not dissolved when it was taken from the old owners and handed to the new ones. It was the same franchise and was beholden to any contracts the previous owners had entered into. “I don’t know about that” does not absolve them from guilt.
@CTownEnjoyer@samuelgrady222@mikotre@coffeebreak_YT BAM corporate took the franchise away and gave it to someone else. They didn’t hit a reset button on reality at that moment. They didn’t dissolve the franchise. They passed it to other owners. It doesn’t matter what the original owners did. The franchise itself was liable.
@CTownEnjoyer@Tawhirimatea11@GusSanghera@coffeebreak_YT If they took over the franchise, then they took over the liability. They also had 10 default judgments against them that will establish precedent in any future court case.
