Had to image the Whirlpool Galaxy Friday night, it was high above, so less atmosphere to shoot through. As you can see, lots of good things happened, but lost too many frames to light pollution, so I will design some light shields.

I'll be the first to admit, telescopes are no cure for insomnia. Woke up before 2AM, got 2-1/2 hours imaging M101, the Pinwheel Galaxy. I'm saving the data, will combine with another night, (hopefully).

Man alive, I'd say my new AstroTech 115EDT telescope has decent resolving power. This is Bode's Galaxy, 12-million light years away, about 2 hours of integration time.
