@TheBabylonBee You might want to clarify the rules of “Police Detective.” The clues are square neon post-in notes that look like this. You know squares right? And then clarify that they aren’t inside the dog. Or the cat. And the buzzy neon thing you found in mommy’s drawer is not square.
@MattDSchubert The second time, there was no excuse for bringing the stage back or the Gatorade bath other than mass ignorance about when the clock does and doesn’t start.
@MattDSchubert The first time, you could see the refs saying the game wasn’t over and trying to get people off the field. And it was clear on the live broadcast, even before the replay, that the clock didn’t hit zero before the ball hit the pylon.
@MattDSchubert Blame everybody who chose to run onto the field, or put a stage there, twice while there was still time on the clock. The refs don’t have a choice to end the game with time left on the clock, and they followed the rules to the letter.
@CalebSalersST Absolutely dirty play by Ole Miss player jumping on Stockton’s leg after he’d been locked up and was going down—the play after the jump pass. Stockton was nursing his leg afterwards and the crack announcers could say only “maybe he’s tired.”
@_ShaunDon__ Kicking with 2:58 left means they had time for a pooch kickoff to try to get the ball back then three plays before the 2min warning. No TO on first play, time out on 2nd, 2min warning on third. So if defense held, they would get ball back with just under 2 and no TOs. Didn’t work
@_ShaunDon__ Second down. They were playing to use the two-minute warning to get the ball back because they didn’t have enough time outs remaining. That plan didn’t work when they gave up nine yards on the first play of the ensuing drive, but it might have been a best option statistically.
@ClemsonSportNet Yep. If he had just gone straight ahead, he would have crossed the line to gain before the DB in front of him (not the one to his left) would have closed.
