@japan_nobunaga Had someone reach out after 4 years and had the most normal conversation ever as if no time had passed. It has been 2 years since that moment and we haven't spoken since. Life has been crazy...
Since it is super easy to sign up for both you could do that and then see where you get the most traction after a few months and focus more on that platform after. Personally I found Kofi easier for one-off payments but that's personal opinion and doesn't reflect the real world π
I would say this wasn't unintentional. Having things sound more complicated than they really are is a way of inflating someone's own perceived intelligence. Some people in this field get extremely offended when you tell them what they are doing on a day to day basis is trivial. There is a whole lot insecurity around this field to make it appear equally or more difficult than other scientific fields. Every time I read classic literature about computer science or listen to old lectures they all use pretty straightforward language (call it simple if you like)
Computer science people have developed an unintentional form of gatekeeping by virtue of being extremely bad at explaining/naming things, which results in simple concepts sounding far more complex than they are.
@Butteriss_d@Melitaalsole@nyshthabeast@MerlinsMagiks@conr111 The egg and watercress that is. I don't know what the OG post was about as I don't know what egg and cheese on a roll is supposed to be π Sounds like he wanted a breakfast muffin π€·ββοΈ
π£π¨ DAVID LAMMY HAS BEEN SACKED AS JUSTICE SECRETARY AND DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER.
The former Justice Secretary tried to curb our right to a trial by jury in the biggest assault on English liberty β particularly free speech β in more than 800 years.
If Lammy had got his way, more people would have found themselves behind bars simply for exercising their right to free speech.
Letβs hope Lammy takes his authoritarian and sinister plan with him on his way out.
Farewell, @DavidLammy π
