@hlnewey I'm so sorry to hear this Hannah, I've had a few scopes over the years, including one earlier this week and I've never been treated so poorly. Hope you're feeling better now!
In the NHS of the future, you may never need a doctor or nurse, says NHS England chair Penny Dash. Smartphone care, AI and robotics will transform the medical system, and automate entire patient pathways she believes: https://t.co/k503U4t8vu
@charlie_lees From my perspective as both a doctor and Crohn's patient, is that the dosing is much less of a concern than the efficacy. Don't get me wrong I prefer the q8w dosing of Risa, to the q2w of infliximab, but at the end of the day it's what keeps me well, with lowest s/e profile
@DrEilidhMaria Pragmatism seems to be in short supply at the moment, think this is a good start, and if we're screwed over again in 12 months time, no reason we couldn't ballot for strike action again...
I'm interested to see more of the detail, but based solely on this I'd be inclined to support the deal. Seems to be a pragmatic way forward, and if the situation changes a year from now, there's no reason not to consider strike action at that time...
At the last moment, ahead of next week’s action, the Government has moved and made a new offer for resident doctors in England.
Strikes for 15–19 June have been called off while members vote on a new offer covering jobs, pay and progression.
The choice is yours:
Vote YES and accept the offer, or vote NO and return to escalated industrial action.
Would love to see someone come into Government with the boldness to make the investments this country so desperately needs. Put the money into healthcare that it needs. Equip the armed forces properly. Lead the world on net zero. The managed decline is soul destroying...

@zachbraff@VDOOZER On the off chance either of you see this, I need you to know just how perfect the reboot of scrubs is. Thank you so much for doing it - from a doctor inspired by OG scrubs
Next time you wait 12 hours to be seen by a doctor in A&E, remember that 14 doctors applied to treat you.
Doctors are unemployed, and cannot find work, whilst patients wait longer.
When I’m sober, the idea of using the public transport of an unfamiliar city (especially abroad) is terrifying. However, once I’ve had a few drinks I’m apparently unstoppable
Not posted your ballot yet?
You've got until 30 June to guarantee it reaches us in time.
The ballot for resident doctors in England is open until 7 July

@hlnewey I think we were probably similar! Didn’t mind the physics having done engineering but chemistry and biology meant learning it for the first time since GCSE to such a ridiculous level. The things we do for this job…
@VDOOZER You may never see this but I wanted to say that I always loved Scrubs. Ted Lasso quickly became a favourite. But you’ve done something incredible, magical and just perfect with Shrinking.
