@ChristandGuitar Or, I know this is a crazy thought, God speaks when he wants to speak whether we recognize it or not.
"Whether they listen or fail to listen"
@ErickYbarra3 Peter is subordinate to Jesus, who is the one who said:
"anyone who sets aside the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly shall be called least in the kingdom of God"
Do you want to be called least, or great?
@BishopJaxi What's truly ironic is that all through the Bible, God's people killed the prophets for revealing God's word.
And today, we would do the same thing. Canon is closed guys, same way it was closed during the prophets
@athiestboi So, that passage in OT is in reference to the practice of punishing Children for the sins of their parents. (Ezekiel 18)
Jesus is our Redeemer. The concept of Redemption is to pay a price, to buy something back which was originally yours.
Kind of like a Pawn shop.
@Joeray I'm not saying you're wrong, but there are some rules in Leviticus concerning uncleanness which are unavoidable.
A woman can't choose not to have her period, for example.
Ceremonial uncleanness is not the same thing as sin.
Touching an unclean animal is not a sin.
@Jackjohnsoalop@rabbriansamuel It is.
“And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt. ”
Deuteronomy 10:19 NIV
This appears countless times in the law.
There is no calling to segregate, and there IS law requiring Israelites to accept foreigners into God's assembly
@Jackjohnsoalop@rabbriansamuel You're getting confused by your 21st century understanding of the terms.
Whether you call it race, ethnicity, or blood line, whichever.
The point is that Jews were unable to enforce sovereignty after the exile. They began to segregate themselves from foreigners, against God's law
@LILindaLee38 I really don't think that salvation is the point. How selfish are we that we believe that the only thing that matters is ourselves?
The god of the universe exists and is real, and our concern is ourselves?
@Jackjohnsoalop@rabbriansamuel Once Jews start saying "we're not supposed to associate with Samaritans" and this is being determined by birth, then I'd say at that point, you are making it a race or ethnic things.
And that happened to be when? Right after the return from Exile, when Judah was not sovereign
@ChristandGuitar Scripture says that Christ became sin for us, so obviously, the bread slowly turns from being Christ Body to being manifest sin. That's why it smells so bad.
@archie_lochie When do you receive your new body on the new earth?
Is it a new body in our hearts? Or perhaps the new earth is already here among us and we didn't notice.
Is there ever a time a birth passes and one asks themselves "did it happen? I didn't notice"
@Jackjohnsoalop@rabbriansamuel The entire books of Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy outline what are the requirements of being a member of God's assembly, including permissions to join and sometimes ejecting people.
You don't believe it's possible to be ejected or cut off from being a certain ethic group
@Jackjohnsoalop@rabbriansamuel So, prior to the exile, Israelite was a nationality (same with Judahite) Israel was sovereign, but even after Cyrus allowed them to rebuild, they were vassals. And truly, ever since, they have been vassals or a people in exile.
They couldn't evict the Samaritans. So exclude them
