Finally my favorite read: The Family Izquierdo by @ruben_degollado. Yes I did cry, potentially twice. Degollado's magical-realist generational portrait of a Mexican-American family living in a border town is a work of art. Go get this book and start the new year off right. 📚❤️‍🩹

Leave the World Behind by @Rumaan Alam. Apocalyptic-ish. But man does this thing make you think about our stupid, privileged, tech-dependent lives. Alam's prose is concise & efficient and poetic. It will be better than the movie.
