Interested in any schools which have operated a voluntary hand in of Year 11 games consoles in the approach to GCSE. What was the response like, did it have have an impact?
If you're an English teacher looking for a new challenge in September, you might like to join our team as DHoD in SCFS. We're an ambitious turnaround seeking to get to the top of the borough over the next few years. Hard work but hugely rewarding!

The photo doesn't really illustrate the statement, so if you weren't there you'll have to take it on trust that several people were standing or sitting on the floor for my talk. I'm very grateful to you all, If I had a choice about attending I'd have gone to see @Counsell_C .
#rEDBrum is GO…. @tombennett71 and @C_Hendrick kicking us off. As ever it’s just magnificent seeing so many people gathering - on a Saturday! - to talk about research and teaching. Glorious.
Thank you so much @researchEDBrum for inviting me to speak. Absolutely loved it and all the talks I saw were great with so many takeaways. Brilliant day as always!! See you next year!
@fish100@jppav_teacher@joenutt_author@vickygrayson_@Miss_Snuffy While there may be less choice with options subjects, the simple fact that their kids are taking more subjects than those in competing schools would to me indicate that an individual student's experience is of quite a broad curriculum.
@fish100@jppav_teacher@joenutt_author@vickygrayson_@Miss_Snuffy I think that the curriculum offer is much broader than detractors will often claim. Every single one of their students took an RS GCSE, all but three of their students took a French GCSE, their EBacc entries are 20% above the LA average and twice national average.
@bingle_tigger @TabitaSurge Or the 1500 years before that; remember when the Queen of the Iceni burned down London because of a clash of civilizational values with the Romans? I'd like to relitigate all of those statues of her.
