God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.
@mnolangray What it’s extending to is the playground of the Bay Area. Some of these people commute from the Auburn area to the Tahoe basin for jobs. Some jobs are starting at 27/h. Not enough housing in the basin itself, so this is close. Along with Reno. Similar story.
The world needs honest and courageous entrepreneurs and communicators who care for the common good. We sometimes hear the saying: “Business is business!” In reality, it is not so. No one is absorbed by an organization to the point of becoming a mere cog or a simple function. Nor can there be true humanism without a critical sense, without the courage to ask questions: "Where are we going? For whom and for what are we working? How are we making the world a better place?"

Chamath Explains How Democrats Lost The Script
@chamath on E203:
"So many people just got really tired of being spoken at and labeled: misogynist, racist, fascist, transphobe, whatever it was, instead of engaging on the topics at hand."
"So I think the Democratic Party played this game of trying to use identities, genders, races as a bid to basically get people that they thought should always vote in their direction to continue to support them."
"It was a cataclysmic dismissal of wokeism, of cancel culture, of judgmental-ism."
"It was a ringing endorsement of a meritocracy, of just plain, simple common sense, of talking with people and to people. Being able to tolerate disagreements. Remaining friends."
"All of those things were on the ballot. And it was just an absolute resounding victory for just normalcy."
"That's what I think we saw. We saw a return to normalcy."
"Democrats really need to retool and get back to first principles."
@ArielDiaz @holz_bau He’s probably not quite studied concrete carbon footprint or steel’s. The manufacture of those alone are the terrible alternatives. Then shipped from…

These are sizable transfers. 1/ 🧵
