@ytyukhova I am amazed every time I read if new discoveries, new galaxies, things that defy our understanding and that what we see is only what was billions of years ago. Imagine what they look like now, if they even exist at all. It excites me and makes me want to learn even more.
@BrandiKruse We had an Australian/German Shepherd mix that would wait until I was deep into a Sunday afternoon nap on the couch to put her cold wet nose into the side of my neck causing me to jump 3' in the air from a dead sleep. She would then walk back to her bed and go to sleep. "Boop!"

The most apropos saying I heard in the grocery store today: Woman #1 "I only have one bottle of wine left!". Her friend's reply with serious concern "gasp!! Oh no!"
The road not yet taken...Looking ahead on Hansen Ridge, just south of I-90 on the way to Snoqualmie Pass today. We turned around here to head back to another meadow further up. A little socked in but more than worth the trek. Saw a bobcat, marmot & lots of wildflowers. Good hike!
Walked the Big Four bridge last night in Louisville. Beautiful night with so many families out walking the bridge. Not to be missed. #IESLightAffectEffect
@Leni_Light The latest version of IES RP for exterior signage from the Outdoor and Environmental Lighting Commmittee is completing ANSI review and has limits that are based on the keeping in line with the Lighting Zones. It is greatly reduced from current levels.
@Leni_Light An additional concern is that my state exempts outdoor signage from Light Zone restrictions leaving it to local jurisdictions to set their own limits. This was caught a number of years ago in my area and a ban established but not before some signs went up.
@Leni_Light Per the MLO LZ-1 "pertains to areas that desire low ambient lighting levels. These typically include single and two family residential communities, rural town centers, business parks and other commercial or industrial/storage areas typically with limited nighttime activity.."
@Leni_Light I argued a similar issue recently to my County Planning Commission in regards to lifting a ban on digital signage in a Lighting Zone 1. It would have allowed 500 nits on signs up to 150 SF. The response from most was they didn't care. It failed by slim margin but is far from over
Today was my 4yr old granddaughters first T-Ball game. Great to be back at the Pony League fields her uncle grew up playing on. Great way to spend a Saturday.
