@ebtapper Agree with this important article and in the Fontan Associated Liver Disease, often our cardiac colleagues and surgeons respond to the “consistent” with cirrhosis radiologist ‘s description and push for a heart liver transplant that may not be needed.
Monday we had the first Fontan Liver clinic at the Digestive Health Center. Thank you everyone who helped and hopefully will grow fast. As usual challenging cases. One young patient with HCC will initiate the journey towards a heart liver transplant🙏
Enjoying the final? The two teenagers are playing high quality tennis without butterflies. Before the end, both are absolute winners. Shame that only one takes the big trophy.
Today 45 years ago , this guy passed his last medical school exam. Well, still going… thanks to my wife, parents, many mentors, colleagues and nurses that allowed this to happen. And thanks to my patients for the confidence.
The Northwestern Medicine and Transplant teams lost a dear member today who fought a long battle against ALS. By transplanting hundreds of livers and kidneys he helped numerous lives. Professor Jon Fryer, rest in peace. Your colleagues and many families will miss you.
@dockevinmcleod Vaccination is a civic duty to protect and help our fellow citizens. It is not a ridiculous freedom choice. And by the way, many with this freedom bogus philosophy deny the choice to women. Shameful.
Signed up to be at the #LiverMeeting#AASLD in Annaheim this November. The Frailty Team and ALFSG successfully had abstracts accepted that included me as co author. Thanks.
