This judge didn’t do that. There were issues with communication between the prosecution and defense which jeopardize the whole trial. Instead of a possible mistrial, he was offered a plea deal.

@mattrobinson I’m fed up with judges letting offenders off just as much as anybody else.

However, that’s not what happened here. All the people blaming the judge don’t realize/don’t care that this was a plea deal due to procedural errors. Seems the prosecutor screwed it up.

However, this doesn’t seem like the judge had any choice. The news anchor said there were issues in the trial with information between the prosecutor and defense.

Seems the prosecution screwed up, whether intentional or not.
