@SteveOnSpeed We worked for it and didn't whine and cry! We paid it forward and still created a 2.9 trillion dollar surplus after the Carter Years with 7.4% inflation and 19% interest rates. You whine and cry when it gets a little tough. The data doesn't support your poor me attitude.
@MattWalshBlog We're just better people. We felt it was our responsibility to help those before us. We didn't whine and cry, we built a 2.9 trillion dollar SS surplus while working and investing in the market which built all you take for granted. You're selfish and lazy!
@trentlapinski Yeah right! Our "neglected" children are going to drop what they're doing and take care of their parents. Got real dreamer...this system allows our children the freedom to continue to pursue their professional endeavors. Your generation is just a bunch of whinny babies.
@MattWalshBlog Do your research Matt.
We overpaid after the 1983 reset. Those dollars not only covered the Greatest Generations retirement, which we gladly paid and didn't cry about, but it also eventually created a 2.9 trillion dollar surplus that grew due to interest which is now covering us
@BachelorJoker Funny thing about the younger generation is they'll sit around and cry about their bills with their 8$ latte and the 50k car talking on their 2000$ smart phone playing games while they can't decide what sex they are while mutilating their children living in the lap of indulgence!
@JoelWebbon Geez...you act like all boomers were at Woodstock! Get a grip soy boy...of course older generations have more wealth we earned it! Life changes, the workforce requitement changes. Adapt and overcome instead of playing the whinny victim.
@MattWalshBlog All the while you whine online making your big$$, driving your 50k car, talking on your 2k$ phone, living under the umbrella of the sacrifices Boomers made building a quality of life 90% of the world would sacrifice everything to enjoy. Grow a pair!
@DavidOndrej1 I put X in over the last 45 years I want X plus interest back. Do your research...the money wasn't stolen it was a miscalculation that led to a deficit. Boomers put in enough to create a surplus and that surplus is being exhausted. This is typical lethargic government practice!
@AngelaBelcamino And more to the point...Inflation also peaked above 14% in 1980, with the Federal Reserve raising rates up to about 19% near the end of his administration. STOP whining and playing the victim as you've been taught by the previous Administrations and buckle down and grow a pair!
@AngelaBelcamino What ..you think you're the only ones that have had to stick it out through tough times? The Carter Years???? Heard of that??The average annual inflation rate under Jimmy Carter (1977โ1981) was about 7.4%, and his term is often described as a period of โstagflationโ.
@MattWalshBlog Listen up ...I paid into that when I was younger and broke so suck it up cupcakes you ain't running off with all my contributions. Hold the government accountable or pay me / everyone back period!
