A school in Austin started using adaptive, software-driven learning for all of its academics.

Using only half the day (the other half is for “life skills”), students start absolutely rocketing to 99th percentile outcomes.

The Education Admission to Schools Act 2018 only applies to catholic primary schools. CoI schools can still discriminate at primary & second level.

Is there any momentum behind removing the baptism barrier at secondary?

I think CoI admissions policies can discriminate because of minority religion status, is that right?

For now, @EducateTogether are the only truly inclusive patron in Ireland.

@jonathan_mccrea It's appalling that removal of the baptism barrier (which I campaigned for) has made it harder for non-baptised families to get in to the less religious, co-ed schools which have tended to be run by CoI. Choice isn't an option in a state-funded system. Schools need to be secular.

1/3 = 2/6
2/3 = 4/6 so...
3/6 > 1/2

Not looking for a Nobel here 😂 but oddly interested in how anyone else would solve it... Especially seeing how differently my kids learn maths from how I did. What do they come up with?
