I don't post on Twitter as much as I used to, but for a while I've been thinking a username update is due. Still love the automotive industry but railways and trains are where my passion really lies these days.
@GazTheJourno To be fair, there are far worse places to end up than Porto, but I hope you're able to get to your destination eventually. Shoe-in for EU261, if nothing else.
@KeejayOV3 I'm sure I commented to you in private but the 10 days I spent in China was very illuminating when it comes to high-speed rail. China's system isn't perfect by any means but everything just...worked.
Didn't realise Lumo has hired Flying Scotsman and a rake of Mk1s for its new Stirling service. This was posted by an account with 675k followers.
*sigh*
@pbeyssac Hi! https://t.co/vqzAbPpS6r is such a useful resource for me, and others. Do you know when it will be back online, please? It has been showing a 503 service unavailable message for the last day or so. Thanks.
For BBC Travel, I'm looking to talk to families from the US, the UK, Italy, Japan, Sweden and Mexico about their summer holiday plans.
Tight turnaround on this by the end of this week for initial interest.
Cannot be in the travel/tourism industry. Photos needed.

You really couldn't make this up...
MAV's (Hungarian Railways') IT contractor forgot that the clocks went forward on Saturday night...
Result? MAV ends up paying automatic 1 hour delay compensation for Sunday morning trains that were on time...
@pacer142@GazTheJourno@AndyRoden1 Hi. As someone who writes travel features (as well as news), can I just jump in and say while I have received comped trips, not once has that influenced my view or what I've ended up writing. I'd be very careful throwing claims like that around.
@RobJF24@CamH_29 If it goes to China for one year I'd make the effort to go along for sure. Despite being a million miles from the table in HK, I enjoyed the event and it would be nice to see a tournament in the mainland.
@AndrewR1404@davidroe147@fouldsy147 ... Partly because of the ticket prices, as David said. Source: I was at the final at the mid-tier ticket cost more than the Masters / UK final.
