The issue raised by the coffee seedling suppliers in Masaka has been resolved. His Excellency the President @KagutaMuseveni , through the State House Comptroller @JaneBarekye , will ensure that the suppliers are paid fully tomorrow morning.

I also wish to inform the nation that the matter appears to have been escalated due to political differences and the stress faced by the seedling operators. The contract to supply the coffee seedlings was awarded to Chairman Bulegeya of Masaka. Hon. Justine Namere only witnessed the arrangement and was not a contracting party to the suppliers, contrary to the allegations made by the lady yesterday.

Javier Mascherano questions Barcelona's €40 million valuation of Marc Casadó after Elliot Anderson's €134 million price tag:

🗣️ “I don't understand why Marc Casadó is being valued at just €40 million when players of a similar profile are commanding well over €100 million in today's market.

If Elliot Anderson is worth €134 million, then Barcelona need to ask themselves why one of their own talents is being valued so cheaply. Casadó has already played at the highest level, featured in important matches and shown the qualities required to succeed in a top side.

This has become a recurring problem at Barcelona. The club pays premium prices when signing players but consistently undervalue their own talents when it's time to sell. Other clubs demand enormous fees from Barcelona without hesitation, yet Barcelona are often willing to let their players go for far less than their true market value.

Just look at the amount Atlético Madrid demanded for Julián Álvarez. Barcelona are expected to pay huge sums when buying, but when selling, they seem too quick to compromise.

The fact that Casadó came through La Masia should not reduce his value. If anything, it should increase it. Players developed at Barcelona possess a unique understanding of the club's philosophy and are already accustomed to competing at the highest level.

Several clubs showed interest in Casadó last season, but Barcelona kept him because of uncertainty surrounding Marc Bernal's recovery timeline. Now, if the coaching staff no longer see him as part of their plans, the club must maximise his value rather than sell him below what he is worth.

Barcelona cannot continue underselling their own talents while overpaying for players elsewhere. If Marc Casadó is going to leave this summer, it should only be for a fee that truly reflects his quality, experience and potential.”
