12 years ago today I saved my wife’s life by making the choice to end my daughter’s. @arhennrich had a placental abruption and I had to make a split second decision to abort Addison and save Amber. If lawyers would have been needed to be consulted before care was given Amber would be dead and I wouldn’t have Braydon and Brynlee. Proper available reproductive care creates my family. I will do everything I can to make sure that choice is available to all who need it. No one is pro-abortion, but being pro-choice is the true way to be pro-life. #BodilyAutonomy is about allowing patients and their families make decisions with medical providers based on their situation. We must restore Federal protections for all to see their DR without interference. If you agree or disagree please share our story. Being open is the only way we can have a discussion on topics like this.
🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer will appoint the former Tory Justice Secretary David Gauke to lead a review of prison sentencing
Gauke has previously said that jail terms of less than six months should be scrapped

Tim Farron, "The unpleasantness about this debate is only matched by the lack of proper information" #BBCQT
"85% of refugees settle in the country next to where they come from"
"The French take 3x more refugees than we do"
"The Germans take 4x more refugees than we do"
"If you put us back in the European Union, we are 19th in the league table when it comes to the number of refugees we take per capita"
"Do we need deterrents? Yes. The best deterrents is competence. If we assess people when they arrive - and they are not illegal immigrants - they are people seeking asylum.. From Sudan.. Afghanistan.. Iran.. Syria.. 90%+ turn out to be genuine refugees"
"If we have a competent government, and we haven't had one, let's see about this one.. And you assess them quickly.. And return the ones that are not refugees"
"That is your deterrent"
"Rwanda was a waste of money.. If they spent that money on case workers we could have processed these people, returned the ones that weren't refugees in a humane way, and let th eones who are genuine refugees, become British, pay their taxes, be part of our country, and we should be proud to admit them"
Very well said @timfarron 👏
1. What we are seeing all over social media now is flat denial of the very existence of the far right. Far right agitators claim to be simple “patriots”, defending their country. Which is just what far right agitators have said for the past century.🧵
Anyone wanna have a go at justifying how participating in a race riot gets you two months but *planning* a *peaceful* climate protest gets you five years? Anyone at all?
Remember when Gary Lineker said the language on immigration from politicians resembles 1930s Germany? Remember the uproar because it was an absurd comparison apparently?
It really is transparent that after years of calling Corbynism "a hate movement" and anti-genocide-in-Gaza protests "violent mobs", the British press has absolutely no idea to respond to actual racist pogroms, especially given they inspired them for years with anti-migrant hate.
The arsonists last night destroyed a Citizens Advice Bureau.
For those outside the UK, that's a place where the British public, particularly low income or disadvantaged communities, get free legal advice and support.
Staff are devastated.
"We're protecting our community"
The #Mosque in Hartlepool that was attacked by far right thugs.
Last year it gave £25k to the British Legion through the sale of poppies
Cooked over 25k meals for people in Hartlepool who were hungry
Anybody got a list of what the far right thugs have done for their communities?
@BangAverageCat3@bmay Yeah, not surprised my community of Sunderland had issues today. S very deprived part of the country completely left behind by the government and it's london centric investment strategies. Total breeding ground for immigrant scapegoating by the right.
@GarryLOFC@TheThirdPath_ @charlottor Exactly! Many of the rioters were from out of town according to the police whereas the members of that mosque are her community. She is protecting and supporting her community it just so happens that includes non white members.
@ofvictbx @charlottor Yeah, exactly. Unbelievably brave of her, I don't think I could do that. Though I also think they would be more likely to physically attack a man, still so brave.
@Flex_Like_Bobby @_ezeokolorie Why do you retweet all of your own comments? Seems very sad and desperate. Gives "Please, look at me, I'm being edgy and need attention because I get none in real life".
I doubt you will see this but nonetheless, thank you for sharing your experience with lymphoma. Both you and @Kurz_Gesagt helped a lot with explaining what lymphoma/ cancer is and what to expect going forward. Explaining how cancer works can be complicated but your content helped
@hankgreen I just saw your post about how you have helped people.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma in March and your experience helped me understand what was happening, explain it to my family, and meant I wasn't as scared as I knew lymphoma was highly reactive to chemo.
