@jaypo1961 The problem Jeff is that Jordan shouldn't be starting for a decent D1 program, as he isn't very good at the game of basketball. Essegian has an offensive skillset (off ball movement/ cutting/shooting) that has potential to unlock a very stagnant offense.

@ST960517 @juicyjoos @Evan_Flood I personally think there's an opportunity for a slight hedge towards modern offensive basketball (while still maintaining WI bball roots) that would increase the probability of NC contention. The problem I see is we seem to be going the other way..

@juicyjoos @Evan_Flood My comment was strictly about Gard and the last few years specifically (post Koenig). The final Bo teams were incredible and very fun to watch offensively. Essegian looks like he might be most exciting multi- year player since final pieces of Bo era, cheers to that.

@ST960517 @juicyjoos @Evan_Flood I think that's fair, and accurate. The post Kaminsky teams have been a bit of a reality check, for me included. Those teams were special and managed to also bridge the gap between winning and entertainment. Those teams were really, really fun to watch.
