Strategically, "Militia of the several States" (USA Constitution A2 S2 C2/A1 S8 C16/2A C1) are much preferred over "land and naval Forces" (A1 S8 C12-14, 1807 Insurrection Act); because, it's only "the Militia of the several States" that are granted superseding A1 S8 C15 powers.

New York City just approved a rent freeze on nearly one million apartments. Sounds great… until reality kicks in.

Rent is frozen. Costs aren’t.

Property taxes rise. Insurance rises. Utility bills rise. Repair costs rise.

Landlords cut back on maintenance. Renovations stop. Buildings deteriorate.

Then comes the next step: sell to a developer, tear it down, and replace it with luxury housing.

The result? Tenants end up in worse conditions and face displacement anyway.

You can’t freeze economics. You can only delay the consequences.

In the end, the people hurt most are often the very people this policy was supposed to help.
