@mariojoos CTRs usually decrease the more impressions a video gets. So, I could see a data set making you think it's completely unrelated to views. But when i look at CTRs on videos a few hours after posting, videos that have a high CTR usually earn more views. Maybe I need to document this
@mattyglesias "If you’re asking people to give you money, you need to find a way to align your work with their goals." Can't tell you how many journalists I know who aren't even aware of what their audience wants. We have so much data on them now. Thought this was excellent, Matt.
@PaddyG96 Sometimes a short looks like it's meh...but then 37 days after publishing it accelerates to over 6 million views. Nearly all of these late views came from the shorts feed. Shorts feed algorithm really values retention...holding viewers' attention for an extended period of time
@YouTubeLiaison My channel deals in a lot of international content. I’ve noticed on TikTok that they will deliver that content to international viewers more frequently. YouTube’s algorithm seems more rigid and sticks with your returning viewers. I think it’s an opportunity for YT
