Congratulations to my colleague/friend @lacombebenoit1 who is now part of the Highly Cited Researchers community 👏. In the Plant and Animal Science category, he is one of only 5 French researchers to receive this recognition. Very proud of him. @IPSiM_fr
11 PhD student positions available in computational and experimental plant sciences at @mpipz_cologne and @UniCologne and @Team_Zuccaro. It's worth taking a look at the projects: https://t.co/lTOCwEO2yW

A new Science microbial ecology paper by the Vorholt lab:
Bacteria mostly compete for carbon sources and have negative pairwise interactions when co-colonizing the plant leaf (bacteria grow better alone than in pairs).

@TonniGrube He said that the MRI on root grow in soil shows that roots follow the same path throughout the air gaps in the soil (suberin clogs); ethylene dispersion in the soil is also responsible for ability of roots to penetrate the deep soil, so if suberin is there no dispersion…
It was inspiring to listen to Malcom Bennett at the Plant Biology Europe 2023; One of his conclusion, I quote him:”it’s stupid idea to make plant roots excrete suberin in the soil”!
Please RT: We are looking for a highly motivated student to work on @SRuffel project mixing plant dev plant phys and machine learning (see pic). The fellowship is supported by INRAE. You can send CV and motivation letter to our emails. Thanks!
