I am in #Uganda, where the government has mounted a prompt and capable response to the outbreak of #Ebola.

Screening at the borders helped detect cases arriving from neighbouring #DRC, and the country’s surveillance, testing and case management systems are doing steady work. Of the 19 confirmed cases so far, 14 were among people who entered from DRC and five are Ugandan nationals. Sadly, two people from DRC have died, and our thoughts are with their families.

@WHO is supporting Uganda, alongside @AfricaCDC and partners across the region, as the country leads this response.

With continued collaboration, I am confident this outbreak can be brought under control.

One time I was trying to pray and I wanted to turn on worship and some prayer songs on my phone

The Holyspirit just whispered “don’t play it. Worship with your own mouth.”

The more i probed the more He started letting me know that I was depending on them too much to stir me up.

One time there was a fellow that was causing me so much emotional stress.

The Holyspirit asked me to wake up at night and start praying for the person

A few days later, this person that does not regard me in anyway walks up to me and starts sharing his problems and asking me for counsel

Another time, i had someone that I never offended cause me so much hurt. I didn’t know what to do.

The Holyspirit asked me to send the person a gift and pray seriously for them

Fast forward to few years down the line, this person starts begging me for forgiveness and asking for counsel.

I’m sharing all this to say that when you walk with the Holyspirit, it is dynamic

When you pray, there’s no fixed set of rules.

This is why we don’t pray by readings prayer book someone else wrote.

You have to trust the Holyspirit per time and be dependent on His leading and guidance

-Don’t just rush into prayer and start shouting

-Take some time to be still and listen for His voice

-Even when His directions and leading seem foolish or too simple, just obey. You’ll be amazed at the result
