Medical Oncologist @fdaoncology, specializing in Breast Cancer and Cancer Prevention/Risk Reduction. #ExerciseOncology#prevention#bcsm Opinions are my own.
When I was 17, I lost my mother to MBC. I was lost. Her doctors would say ‘the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others’. So I went to medical school. I was her caretaker for 2 yrs, so I guess you could say I was searching that whole time #ghandi
I want to say I appreciate @FDAOncology coming out from behind the curtain and discussing with patients and clinicians their thoughts & rationale around recent approvals. Great session, @SABCSSanAntonio 👏🏻
One of the key messages from all of the the panelists was that we all need to tackle cancer misinformation together. It will take a village and a shared effort from all health care professionals and patients, caregivers, communities. We all have a part to play. @FDAOncology

@NBSaphierMD Agree 1000%. My little one got RSV and ended up in the hospital, then my husband and I got RSV from the baby and knocked us out for 2 weeks.
In 2016, as part of @POTUS vision for the #CancerMoonshot, @theNCI instituted a policy of research #DataSharing. Now all government research will follow similar policies to speed the progress of discovery to make an impact on the lives of Americans: https://t.co/L5QhOqqNM1
@MartyMakary RSV just ran through our household. My 5 month old brought it home from daycare. She needed to be hospitalized. My husband and I sick for 12 days. Why do daycares not close for RSV? What about HFM? Yet here we are home in quarantine because of 1 + covid case.
@NBSaphierMD@NBSaphierMD I’m outraged by the daycare closures, still going on! One case, and they shut down for 10 days for cleaning and quarantine. It’s absurd. What’s your take? Know of any data to suggest these measures are actually beneficial. Single working moms are struggling.
Welcome to our family, Lexi! 8 week old German Shepherd 🐾 It’s peak bloom here, & she loved eating the Cherry Blossom petals off the ground.😂 Follow her adventurous life on Instagram @DistrictLexi.gsd while she explores DC #puppy#GermanShepherd#CherryBlossomDC@washingtonian
https://t.co/QVIYWtwWmI I worked on this with the FDA focus group last year and it is finally live. We have made the clinical trial language used more patient friendly. So proud to continually use my voice to help others. Yep I’m crying. 👑👑👑
The OCE Patient-Friendly Language Project began with a vision that one day commonly used clinical trials terms could be defined so they are easier for patients and healthcare providers to understand.
So happy to see this resource now available 👇🏻
