Think about it...

There are 1,200 horse stalls on the Keeneland sales grounds. What would it take to dedicate just 20 (modified to be slightly larger if too small and located in the furthest barn from the Pavillion so as to cut down on disease risk and allow for quarantine) for the purpose of giving at risk off the track, recently retired from racing, and dumped at auction Thoroughbreds a safe place to temporarily land while waiting for space to open up at a rescue? What would it take to also have those stalls filled with ready to adopt horses fans and horse enthusiasts could visit at any time, but especially during racing meetings and sales, and maybe take home?
Probably just an infintismal percentage of what the sales take in each year...without the need to build the support structure from the ground up.
Just 20 stalls of 1,200??
