@Qld_Steve I've tried over the years to get LI/SC to work and have had mixed results. A simple list of activities on the white board does the trick and the Ss and I tick them off as we go.

@steven_kolber @eric_mazur A7: Pre COVID it was hit & miss with 7/8 Ss, more successful with 11/12. Now we’re “post COVID” (and I use that term lightly) it’s back to the drawing board. I’ll try again with my yr 11s soon and perhaps 7/8 later in the year when it loses the remote learning feel #edureading

@steven_kolber @eric_mazur A6: Depending on the activity, there’s often a natural extension. Eg, year 9 composing melodies. More able Ss are directed to develop motifs, add harmony etc. Ss with strong music background can be paired with less abled Ss and provide peer tutoring #edureading

@steven_kolber @eric_mazur @everettis1 A5: I guess it’s a bit of both. With group work, if one team member doesn’t do their part (practise/pre reading/contributing etc) then the whole team is let down. That’s both a natural and a social consequence #edureading

@steven_kolber @eric_mazur @a_happy_teacher A4 Informal assessment allows Ss additional opps to achieve outcomes that might not be reported on if they achieve poorly in a formal task. Eg, S nails a performance outcome in rehearsal but goes to pieces in the assessment due to anxiety. Outcome is still achieved #edureading
