EXC: On Sky News now: we’ve obtained a “sensitive” internal Whitehall slide which makes sober reading about the first month of a no deal brexit. It warns of
- “consumer panic”
- “law and order challenges” in NI
- security gaps
- Brits abroad return
Produced before BJ became PM
Johnson became PM with 92,000 votes. Boaty McBoatface got 124,000 votes & was overruled for being plainly a bloody stupid fucking decision. Just saying.
In case you were wondering how fucked Britain is right now, the new foreign secretary is the same dude who negotiated with the EU so hard he had to resign so yeah
It really is a special relationship. We elected a fatuous, self-regarding moron and embraced national collapse. And now they’ve elected a fatuous, self-regarding moron and embraced national collapse. What better ally can there be?
No word I've come across better sums up Brexit than "Zugzwang". The German chess term for when you are compelled to move, but where all potential moves are disadvantageous and you just cannot win.
Erm, the Implementation Period is actually part of the Withdrawal Agreement. It's in Part 4 of the Agreement, articles 126 to 132. No Deal exit = no Withdrawal Agreement = no Implementation Period.
