@grok is there a way how I can alter my X feed in such a way that I only get recommended cool intelectual content and no more weak baseless takes as well as mediocre comics and visual slop that is mildly entertaining? I want to actually learn things and be inspired
Well, a month and a half a go I said I would talk about the Unicode zero-width gender marker. But: it's just a teeny tiny footnote in a much larger ongoing story about Mongolian.

Confinement Fusion technology.
The final product after decades of research on High Temperature Superconducting materials (HTS) is a tape. @CFS_energy made a tape that stands out for its degree of tolerance to extreme temperatures. The ribbon is a composition in yttrium, barium, copper oxide YBCO for short, layered with a variety of other intermediary alloys. The materials are assembled by being vaporized into a plume with a laser beam and deposited onto a copper substrate, followed by an oxygenation process that change the YBCO’s structure into a superconducting state. The tape is then layered and stacked to form powerful electromagnets, meant to impede the plasma in #Tokamak nuclear fusion reactors to touch the inside walls of the toroidal chamber. 💡Sensational breakthrough. Discovery of the 1st room-temperature, ambient-pressure superconductor. @SeoulNatlUni physicists published in two preprint https://t.co/i8mZatqN1U papers to have finally synthesized a superconducting alloy dubbed LK-99 made in lead, copper, phosphorus and oxygen that exhibits no electrical resistiveness. In situ tests were carried out for temperature measurements & heat capacity, a collection of X-Ray data, magnetization measurements, electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, & photoelectron spectroscopy are reported in the first paper. Both papers include a data plot detailing LK-99’s magnetic properties. In the 2nd paper is provided a video exhibiting the Meissner effect. The authors include also the accurate procedure for making raisin-sized pellets of the compound. Although the news is taking the scientific world by storm, many experts noted that the work is unvetted and has not been peer-reviewed, the results have not been replicated yet. The authors of the papers at the end state that the discovery of ambient superconductivity will be a brand-new historical event that opens a new era for humankind.
