Math outside today.
“Each one of us unique,
but when we work together
the picture is complete”
They each created a square for a class quilt. After we decided how to fit together 24 quilt squares, they made mathematical observations. @inspire4 @tozercubs
Decided it was time to be more of a guide on the side when it comes to my reading groups. Today was day 1 and it was a great thing to observe! Students were engaged, accountable, and motivated. #tozercubs#inspire4
New @usekamiapp updates assessment mode and answer boxes! Thanks #KamiConnect Can’t wait to see what that’s all about! It was a great day today of learning.
I stayed home with my sick baby today and had the chance to listen to #KamiConnect all day. I can't wait to get back into my classroom and try out some of the new things I've learned that @usekamiapp can do! Feeling inspired, motivated, and optimistic! #inspiRe4
@MrSteinOnline @usekamiapp I would've loved to be a student in your class! I love your energy and positivity. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
Non-Kami related: In the dark world that we are livin' in today - how do you keep your spark alive?!
@hillary_atp thank you for your insight on how to take inclusivity further with Kami. I have a student that is struggling explaining his thinking in math and I never thought about having him present his thinking in a different way (video or voice on @usekamiapp)
@usekamiapp @buddyxo Having Ss record their voice when reading a document! This will allow me to provide feedback on their reading accuracy/fluency as well as check for understanding! What a great idea! I have assignments linked to my @CanvasLMS reading page for Ss to practice identifying main idea!
We need to stop saying we are preparing students for the "real world." School is their "real world." We need to begin making school relevant to our students and building lifelong, self-sufficient learners.
