The keystone of my campaign is shown in this video. @BaltimorePolice plays a role in the safety of our city, but it does not and cannot play the only role. We must deal with the root causes by investing in struggling communities. https://t.co/81cladpKEh #DCS4Bmore
Angry about airfares? Airlines merged from 12 carriers in 1980 to 4 today.
Upset about grocery prices? 3 companies control 70% of grocery sales in 167 cities.
Mad about drug prices? A handful of drug companies control the pharmaceutical industry.
Monopolies are the problem.
For well over half a century, Baltimore has done everything possible to cater to cars and commuters.
Lost about 400k in population along the way.
So aren't we well past time to have streets for people who want to live here.
Walk, bike, better transit, drive if needed.
Safely.
Black folks are not demanding reparations from white folks.
The demand is for the United States government, whose economy was built on labor of enslaved people, whose laws allowed Black codes, Jim Crow, and Redlining, to repay that debt.
Just so it's out there - most of the poorest states (predominately led by Republicans) *receive* more taxpayer dollars than states typically led by Democrats. Not saying they've been *great* at helping the working class, but that's just the truth. #GOPDebate#GOPDebate

Hey, @AnaKasparian, when you talk about nuclear as a possible stopgap, please include information on cost overruns for proposed facilities (SC had one go from 1 or 2 billion up to 27 billion), and that over 90% of the USA's uranium is imported, externalizing the toxic impact.
Everyone deserves a living wage.
Everyone deserves housing.
Everyone deserves education.
Everyone deserves healthcare.
Advocating for such is an act of love.
30.
That’s how old Breonna Taylor and Tyre Nichols should be today.
They should’ve had cookouts with their families this weekend.
Celebrating.
Their lives mattered.
Rest In Power.
This. CCS would more than double the cost of generating electricity in gas-fired plants and more than triple the cost in coal plants. We would literally have to pay gas and coal plants more to capture and sequester the emissions they create than we would to generate electricity.
produced, biomass produces more CO2 than coal. There also are co-pollutants with burning biomass, which would be great to avoid.
As you said, it's a nuanced debate, but these are pieces of the conversation that need to be brought up every time we have it. (8/8).
@AnaKasparian, I appreciate your recent vid on power sources in Germany! But the story is missing a few things. Nuclear may not have the same emissions profile as coal and NG, but the enviro impact of uranium mining is nothing to disregard. Most uranium in the US... (1/)
transmission lines - burdening them with something the federal government should foot the bill for instead of oil and gas subsidies. There were some brief mentions of biomass, but even it is a false solution to make up the difference in energy needs. Per unit of energy... (7)
