@sajid90114287@ColinMurray@bbc5live You answered the question before you asked it.. why would you want more funding?! To build more prisons? No. Why don’t they ‘get sent’ to Oxford or its equivalent and get an education instead of a longer sentence than the last one did for the same offence…
On reflection, the #PrisontoParliament event gives hope for the future of a criminal justice system that is broken. With the sharing of lived experience and the overcoming of adversity, change will happen. Like everything in life, it won't be overnight, but it will come. #Hope
We are so pleased to have a discussion with MPs at the 'From Prison to Parliament' event in Edinburgh Parliament about our book The Good Prison Officer. A small pebble can cause big waves! #InsidePerspectives 👌🏼
The Good Prisoner got a great call out in Cork Prison today by the lads in there and it clearly inspired them, I thought you would all like to know @Andibrierley @KevinNeary12@dennehymax @kierralm @Danwhyte628@dev_ferns jamesdocherty, it was class to see the impact on them 💙👏
“It takes a village…” The social fabric of recovery and desistance”
My piece for the PQ available now…
“what is often missing in the story told about individual recovery…is the social one. Recovery and desistance are social processes.”
@SpeireNua @Andibrierley @KevinNeary12@dennehymax @kierralm It is heartwarming to read this! It is spreading into all the right places. Let’s hope it continues to inspire, inform and include! 💙
@jimbrownblog We sit on the other side of this broken system… as a third sector org utilising our lived experience to inform and reform, would love to have a conversation with you.
I would like to thank @turnaroundproj for inviting me onto their podcast TheLivedExperience series. It was an honour and I appreciated the platform to talk about my life and the work we do @DWRM_CIC and share my story on the podcast.
