The closing speech of @Dappcon 2026.
@StefanDGeorge, @gnosis_ co-founder and CTO, on Ethereum's early Berlin days: a room united by one idea. Build something revolutionary. Decentralized. Censorship-resistant. The world computer.
"It was really very idealistically driven."
Then the close. Stefan puts it on the room.
The printing press moved power from the church to the people. The question he leaves @dappcon with:
"Who is the Gutenberg of our generation? Is this simply our responsibility? Because who else is going to build this?"
Solidity just turned 11. @_czepluch asked the question most people building on it tend to avoid: how long can you keep patching a language before the patches stop being the answer?
