@davidallengreen Up until 2016, I’d have agreed that the UK seemed to do fine without. But, a written constitution that is open to liberal, democratic reform has its advantages which you seem to discount. Interested to know why. We’ve had fun amending ours 30+ times in Ireland since 1937
