@DeejusPhilbin@Pirat_Nation I don’t get this on PC. Yes I love this game that much, and on the n64 too. I’ll not defend it any further than that.
But I also have a 7900xtx rig to run my big boy games too.
I just like games.
@leonardoluizli1@WOKENJJT I’m not arguing. The base game is dull as hell. I say all the time the mainline game is something I have to suffer every time to get to the real meat of the game.
The competitive play is a whole different beast
@Grimpachi_@PlayerEssence@SmashJT Damn dawg you sitting in the boardroom when these decisions are made?
All I’m suggesting is you don’t know the full story, and you’re adamant you know exactly how a trio of companies work with a subsidiary you have nothing to do with.
Go outside.
@leonardoluizli1@WOKENJJT He’s playing champions, a solely competitive pvp game.
You wanna compare mainline games sure, pokemon blows. But the real competitive game is far above anything another JRPG offers.
@WOKENJJT@Cap1529 He’s got home, Champions, and probably an assortment of Pokemon games. Which means they’re at least playing in a competitive arena.
And that is a whole different beast than the 30hr mainline Pokemon experience.
@joaofilipperr@Nan0ten Because they don’t see their games as disposable. It’s pretty clear they wanna curate an evergreen library. They wouldn’t have made all the updates to older games and the handheld boost mode if they didn’t.
@KD42477123123@Nan0ten If you’re emulating or pirating, I don’t care. Have fun.
But shutting those things down isn’t “anti-consumer.”
You’re not consuming man you’re outside the ecosystem at that point.
@F4D32814CK@JuiceMan_V@AnAverageGamerX Yup.
Like I don’t care if you emulate or pirate. But don’t claim it’s “anti-consumer” to shut those things down.
You ain’t consuming anything man. You’re outside the ecosystem at that point.
@JuiceMan_V I’m not sure they’re committed to even digital downloads.
They keep talking about the rising cost of hardware and the obvious answer is a dumb box that streams Xcloud.
@Grimpachi_@PlayerEssence@SmashJT Nintendo doesn’t own the trademark in all regions, and wasn’t the only publisher for Pokopia.
Like I said, probably a lot more complicated
@TenThySelf@NintyPrime Fair enough, I had actually never heard about this.
But trying to stop rentals is a bit different than making “used games illegal”
@NintyPrime@TenThySelf Yeah which I don’t give any mind to since emulation isn’t consumerism. Can’t be anti-consumer by nature.
The tournament and fan games are IP protection. They can make the game without Samus.
The “make used games illegal” seems completely out of left field bullshit though.
