I just realized:
As a #battlefield vehicle player, it feels like I'm living in the 1800s.
I'm a minority. I get insulted for what I am. I am not heard when I complain in public. I get no support. The general public would prefer me gone. I'm just tolerated.
It's discrimination.
This sentiment in the community against vehicle players has to stop if we want to peacefully coexist and help each other out and get the old synergy going.
Further, the developers have to ACTIVELY cater to us too. Infantry in Battlefield 6 is maybe the best it's ever been, but the vehicles? Disgraceful.
We are regularly told to shut the fuck up, stop crying and "get good" by other players, developers don't cater to us at all, in fact they even put an expiry date on our vehicles with overly punishing game design:
- Tanks cannot defend themselves against even 1 good engineer because they are so slow to turn and move.
- The RPG being so fast instils fear in all pilots, you can die at ANY second no matter what you are doing.
- There are more mines than players on the map at any given time, and they are impossible to see in rubble.
- Functionality of vehicle core mechanics and their countermeasures is almost not given at all.
- Time to death in every vehicle when a counter appears is in the milliseconds.
- There is almost always something your opponent can exploit that turns them into an undefeatable threat. (Base AA, invincibility glitch, basecamping, laser designation)
- Most air vehicles have enough ammo for one or two meaningful interactions before the need to return to base to resupply.
- We get zero visibility aid in vehicles against infantry players and mines that can literally hide in bushes, rubble, dark corners which can instantly kill you if you overlook them. This is the Battlefield with the WORST visibility in the history of the franchise.
- The air radar is STILL NOT WORKING and trying to be a 3D map. The minimap in general SHOULD NOT BE 3D.
- In order to balance all of the above, all vehicles kill enemy soldiers ON SIGHT, IMMEDIATELY so the casual player can jump in and feel like he just made a difference - this keeps the average player happy.
The result:
It's not fun to play in the vehicle. Your skill does not matter and you will rack up braindead easy kills until someone decides that you will now die. You cannot make a difference for your team on an objective because you are easier to kill than a soldier when you are exposed.
It's not fun to be a soldier up against the vehicle. Unless your first RPG hits, you will get killed in 1 frame. You have to hide to survive and play like a rat. Killing a vehicle does not feel rewarding because you can literally see that they had no way of avoiding the death you just caused them.
What happened to Battlefield where vehicles were meaningful assets that you had to employ correctly in order to capture and control a territory?
What happened to vehicles being easy to pick up and use somewhat effectively, but very difficult if not impossible to fully master?
What happened to skill expression? What happened to supporting your infantry and the infantry supporting you?
It all feels like a really bad joke in Battlefield 6 and considering the fact that it's been 1 month since release now, the patch that we are allegedly getting tomorrow is most likely going to be too little too late.
I'm extremely disappointed with the state of the game and will drop it very soon, like many of my friends have, if it remains like this.
@tiggr_ tagged because I know you wanted feedback.
@Ema97n The mission of the spanish ship was never to defend, its mission was to escort, rescue and protect in the event of aggression, wich did not occur.
🚨The Mystery of 3I/ATLAS: Its Producing Its Own Light
On July 21st, 2025, Hubble locked its eye on the newest interstellar visitor to our solar system: 3I/ATLAS.
What it revealed doesn’t fit the usual categories of comet or asteroid. The data is weird. Let’s unpack it. 🧵
There’s a distance from a black hole where light can orbit one, two, or more times before escaping. We would see this as a thin ring of light around the black hole. #MondayMotivation
