ERC-20 is insecure because it has two token transferring methods and one of them doesn't have error handling. So far, over $100M has been lost because of this. Here is a page that calculates the losses: https://t.co/vYZefdXRoA
@A_Leutenegger ERC-223 works without approvals and implements the same transfer logic as ETH native transfers. ERC-7417 Token Converter lets existing ERC-20 tokens get wrapped into ERC-223 and back without abandoning the old standard entirely
1/ Ethereum needs better token standards🚨
ERC-20 standard is poorly designed and outdated but it’s still the MOST adopted one.
What are its problems and why is it designed the way it is? 👇
What an incredible feeling to be alive right now and witness an event of this magnitude!🚀
The best crew ever, Artemis 2 wishing you the safest journey home! 🌎
I watched the Artemis 2 lunar flyby stream for 6 hours straight. I cried along with the crew when they broke the record for the farthest distance from Earth. I listened to all their observations about what they were seeing on the Moon! 🌔
What moved me beyond words was seeing how this united and inspired people all around the world. I saw an enormous amount of posts and videos showing how happy everyone was, how people watched the livestream together, how it lifted everyone's spirits!
No dispute resolution mechanism
The protocol intentionally excludes any arbitration or dispute resolution layer. Once an outcome is triggered, the result is final. This may be acceptable for low-value automated jobs but poses risks for higher-value transactions.
ERC-8183 risks and trade-offs
TL;DR: ERC-8183 is a minimal and composable “on-chain Fiverr” for AI agents. Many risks are design trade-offs: trusted evaluator, optional hooks, off-chain verification, and no dispute resolution. High-value jobs require extra precautions

Token custody risks in hooks
Some advanced hooks temporarily custody additional tokens inside the hook contract. This significantly increases the financial risk compared to the minimal escrow model.
