DON’T LIMIT GOD

We often measure God by the limits of our own finite understanding. We pray small prayers, expect modest outcomes, and quietly assume that certain situations are beyond hope. Yet Scripture reminds us that God is never confined by human logic or limitation. He works in ways higher, wiser, and more powerful than we can imagine.

1. GOD’S POWER EXCEEDS OUR IMAGINATION

Paul proclaims, “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Our greatest dreams are still too small. What feels impossible to us is effortless to Him. When we stop placing ceilings on God, faith begins to rise and hope is reborn.

2. GOD’S WAYS SURPASS HUMAN REASONING

Through Isaiah the Lord declares, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways… as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways” (Isaiah 55:8–9).

God may answer differently than we expect, move more slowly than we prefer, or choose a path we would never design. Yet His wisdom is perfect. What appears confusing in the moment often reveals His goodness in time.

3. GOD DELIGHTS IN DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE

Scripture repeatedly shows God working beyond natural limits — parting seas, raising the dead, transforming hearts. Jesus said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God” (Luke 18:27).

No burden is too heavy, no sin too deep, no future too broken for His redeeming power. When we release our tight grip on what seems logical, we make room for miracle-sized grace.

A HOPE-FILLED REMINDER

When we try to fit God inside our expectations, we shrink our faith.
But when we trust His limitless power and wisdom, we discover a God who is bigger than fear, stronger than our circumstances, and kinder than we ever dreamed.

Heavenly Father,

Forgive me for the times I have limited You with my small thinking and fearful expectations.

Teach me to trust Your power, rest in Your wisdom, and believe that You are working even when I cannot see the way forward.

Help me to surrender every impossible situation into Your hands, knowing that nothing is too hard for You.

Fill my heart with faith that looks beyond logic and rests fully in Your wisdom, power, and love.
