@davidicke I’ve been a big fan of yours for years David, but you seem to have completely switched to simulation hypotheses now!! How does this fit with the lizard / reptilian theory that you held for a long time, I’m struggling to see how these 2 x ideas work together.
@JimSpenceDundee Given their fans more memorable moments in one tournament, than Scotland has in my entire lifetime!!….i’m 44 years old.
Our negative, ‘happy to be there’ shite mindset and non-ambition / belief in regard to what can be achieved with our national sport is utterly depressing!!
@Trevorsports90 Along with Barry Moore, greatest commentator of all time.
The modern day commentators are all ‘social media types, with cringeworthy scripted dialogue.
@JLretronne@itvfootball 100%
Croatia with a lesser population reached the World Cup final in 2018, so why not us!!??
I think the younger generation coming through are no longer willing to accept this deep rooted mindset, thank god for that!!
@IainSwan72@MalcolmBrown53 Yes I agree, disappointing World Cup for Uruguay, and I’m sure they’ll react to it that way, there’ll be none of ‘ah well we tried our hardest, we’re just a small wee country’ nonsense
@wormingtononsea@sweirz Yep, could add lots more, Denmark (won Euro 92), Norway, Uruguay, Iceland (knocked England out, imagine that!!!!)…….but yes, we are too small a nation to compete, absolutely pathetic loser mentality!!
@SPFL_Fitba_Fan You have to aim for the highest end goal, and that for a nation whose national sport is football, and whose population is perhaps 3 million +, has to be to WIN either the Euros or World Cup.
Got to set the bar high, otherwise we are all wasting our time!
@leemcnaught@_CM_67_ Nothing to do with it. Norway, Croatia, Uruguay, Denmark (previous tournaments), even Iceland (ffs) have qualified for knock-out stages of major tournaments!!
