It’s all true. A Savior was born, Christ the Lord. He didn’t come flying in with an army of angels to defeat the world. He arrived in the most humble possible way. The Word became flesh. He came as a baby, born in a manger because there was no room for Him anywhere else.
He came knowing He would be called a blasphemer, suffer, and be rejected by the very people He came to save.
But the story doesn’t end there. He lived a perfect life, died in our place, and rose again victorious, all so we could be reconciled to Him.
That invitation still stands today. The Savior born in Bethlehem is the same Savior who offers forgiveness, peace, and eternal life for anyone who will receive Him.
Merry Christmas! Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. Luke 2:10-11
