@PeacemakingSt In addition to the Primary/primary answers, my faith and testimony grew from camping. I lived in a very outdoorsy state, and we went at least once a month.
Still today, I can't gaze into the night sky, or feel the quiet of the forest, and not think of God.
π§΅New Post: Dads, the research is stunning: your rough-and-tumble play is one of the most powerful protections against childhood anxiety ever studied. Wrestling, chasing, tossing your kid in the air. It literally grounds their nervous system. What fathers should know:
@BryceGordonT@libraryofgodwin What puzzles me is why the police officer did not serve process himself. He is a legitimate server. He had the papers in hand. He could have simply delivered them and ended this standoff, which would have benefited both the YouTuber and AF guy.
Additional footage shows more of the police work on the ground and the AF guy's perspective.
I'm not entirely sympathetic to AF guy, whose business seems to be in the wrong in the civil suit. But I can understand why he's weirded out by randos coming to his home, at times deceptively. He likely has family living there too, given that his wife has called the police after certain incidents herself.
Plus, if I'm understanding Utah law, a party to a case, like the YouTuber, cannot be the one who serves court papers to the defendant anyway.
@PeacemakingSt Yes because I love the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
No because I can't stand below-market wages, excessive bureaucracy, and Utah culture.
One day, you'll bury your dad, and that's the day you'll realize you lost the only man who genuinely wanted you to do better than him.
Take care of him if he's alive.
@Englishremnant Some historians believe that clerical celibacy has as much to do with property and inheritance as it does with theology. If clergy remain unmarried, the church can better centralize power and resources, avoiding hereditary dynasties and the like.
@PeacemakingSt Absolutely. Praying for our leaders doesn't just help *them,* as critical as that help is. It often inspires *us* to participate more meaningfully in our communities, resist the vitriol of contemporary political discourse, and feel greater peace about the future.
