Husband | Dad | Fighting erosion of family, faith & freedom | “The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it” – Orwell
When I watch a culturally significant movie, I expect it to be fitting the time/place/people. It should be a time capsule in time for the audience, not take away from the story and this clearly does because if it didn’t people would probably be bitching there are too many white people in it.
@daveleedwnundr@World_1ntel You don’t have to see it. Nolan cast various people in this movie by most accounts in insignificant roles which makes it even worse imo, to get his awards. It’s that simple, he checked the appropriate boxes needed and doesn’t care what people think.
@ReelShiftJoe The irony you keep yapping about people yapping is the best part. Like go see the movie 10x. You only seem to give a shit because people you don’t like have something to say about it, that’s it.
@airbagged2077 It is “inspired by” big difference there don’t you think?
The story is a Disney creation not 2,800 yr old masterpiece
And I’m sure if Sydney Sweeney was playing Moana people would be melting down, that’s the point
@airbagged2077 Now if Moana was a Greek woman I’m sure there would be outrage from the get go from the woke mob, casting Polynesians in a movie about their culture is expected and a non issue. People can like it or dislike it as it was intended.
@Fame_0007 So your retarded take is trying to correlate a 2,800 masterpiece of Greek literature to a movie inspired by, checks notes a 1990s video game…
