@_wbbt1337 @MyOwnMartyr @bumbadum14 A statement doesn’t have to begin with “in my opinion” to be an opinion. For legal purposes, a fact can be definitively proven. In the example I gave, you cannot PROVE either assertion.

@MyOwnMartyr @bumbadum14 How the other party takes the statements is irrelevant. A statement of “he’s a chauvinistic pig who treated the waiter rude” is not a fact. Plus, a statement of fact, is only one of about 6 requirements that need to be met to make a defamation case enforceable.
