@DanconiaLoken @Brellionaires @mnolangray We are a consumer economy. If more people do what you are advising, there are negative effects. Less people buy=business make less money=people are laid off. Laid off people spend less and the cycle continues until there is government intervention.
@SamanthaArmaco1@FordhamNYC The seal is not going away. It will only be used during graduation, so they are raising the seal's importance. Also reducing access to the seal for marketing and ensuring it is used in academic documents like your transcripts and diploma.
@myockey@fckumagamorons@brainsmatter_x@ronrule I'm saying the dice has been cast. Its the gallows humor that people in rural and suburban communities who always complain about property taxes and we're not told or did research about the true cost of where they are going to live. Reducing taxes just shortens timeline of collaps
@myockey@fckumagamorons@brainsmatter_x@ronrule I think the issue is up to what point do cuts become untenable. Suburbia is a ticking time bomb of municipal debt and aging infrastructure. If you think property taxes are high now in your community, wait for your sewage system to age out and need replacing at community scale.
@CMCAdvanced @mustyoshi@TheGreenOldDill If it's in the suburbs then less than it's worth to keep it operating/maintenance/repair. Suburbia is a ticking time bomb of debt that will knee cap a lot of home owners.
