A friend of mine built three mini-flats as rental properties. However, he later used the money he had saved from the rent to support his children’s school fees.

One day, his wife, who was a teacher with an educational background in school management, told him that she wanted to start a school. My friend saw an opportunity to support her and agreed that she could start the school. He allowed her to use the building for the school business and also provided almost everything she needed to get the school started. He supported her financially and made sure the necessary facilities and materials were available.

When the school eventually started operating, however, the wife began hiding important information about the school from her husband. She stopped giving him proper information about the number of students, school fees collected, and the financial situation of the school. Even when parents paid school fees, she would sometimes keep the information from him.

The situation became more complicated when the wife took a loan. The husband had promised to help repay the loan. Interestingly, whenever the loan repayment was approaching, the wife would stop keeping malice with her husband and become friendly with him, apparently because she needed him to make the repayment. After the payment was made, the relationship would return to the same pattern of disagreement and withholding information.

My question is: What do you think the husband should do in this situation? Should he continue supporting the school financially, or should he take steps to protect the money and property he has invested in the business?

same thing happened to my friend. He gave his wife ₦2.8 million to complete their three mini flats so they could rent them out and use the rental income to pay their children's school fees. When he asked her to account for how the money was spent, she became argumentative and started a fight. He decided to let it go because he didn't want any conflict.
