Only independence for me and a growing majority of Scots. But scrapping FPTP would be a step forward to a fairer England. And a step into the modern world.
Andy Burnham: People can only be equal when their votes are equal.
Manchester Mayor @AndyBurnhamGM calls for the new Labour government to ditch FPTP voting, and give us Proportional Representation.

@AnasSarwar Perhaps you might have had the decency to apologise to the Scottish government and the Ministers you named for falsely accusing them of a cover up over the hospital rather than claiming it (disgustingly) as something to be proud of and including it in your resignation letter!
Andy Burnham has still not lifted Yvette Cooper's proscription - which sees thousands of good people being arrested as terrorists - just for holding placards.
Please RT this until - he does.
Thank you.
@ClickBait6969@joshgerstein BBC won't settle. It's licence payers' money that would pay and folk in the UK won't have that. But Trump won't want to show how he can be beaten so he'll pressure the new PM to try and get the BBC to pay something to save face, possibly even threaten more tariffs. He's desperate
@JimMuessig@joshgerstein I'm no fan of the BBC but in this case it's a blatant SLAPP suit by Trump on UK (foreign media). Yes, the edit was sloppy but no one who watched Trump's disgraceful statements (and inaction) that day would disagree that's what he intended. And no one in the US saw it anyway!
@Lairdysnr@AnasSarwar If that wasn't bad enough, his 'elevation' to the Lords, which he always said he would reject - add that one to the long list) means that there won't even be a by election. An electoral system that protects unelected MSPs. The next lucky Labour loser just chosen from the list.
@BjCruickshank Heard one of the commentators on BBC say in essence Sarwar is a great communicator so Burnham would be eager to have him as Trade Minister in the House of Lords! Although he did add that Sarwar presided over a shocking defeat in the May elections so Burnham wants a new leader.
@ko_bulawayo2@pauleholden Zion bots still spreading their poison I see. At least you managed one reply without accusing someone of being an antisemite or alleging there is no genocide. Progress I suppose.
@AnasSarwar Look, I may be sceptical about Burnham's magic touch but I am willing to give him a chance to reverse the disaster of Starmer, particularly on Israel. But please stop pretending words like 'change' and 'hope' are manifesto promises. Platitudes instead of promises cost you in May.
@rlevenpheasant1@Dr11Ums If you had read my reply on this point you would see I'm quite happy to see where the evidence takes us and I keep an open mind until then. But let the chips fall where they may.
My posts recently have drawn the ire of both Salmond supporters for independence and unionists. Both think millionaire Labour donor Paul McManus is their saviour. A man that never met Salmond, doesn't agree with independence but is funding the court case. Not hard to work it out.
@WullieHalliday I'm content to let the matter play out in court and see where the evidence takes us. But I can't understand Paul's motivation to see justice done simply for that noble reason. He says it is. Fine. I think motivation should be questioned. Although a lot of people disagree!
@Dr11Ums@brexshitshmexit@separatescot@WingsScotland The self styled 'Reverend' Stuart Campbell doesn't have a great track record at the Court of Session. But I'm sure yet another crowd funder would be welcomed by him. Give the press a chance to have another look at his Hillsborough comments too.
